Southeast Florida

Experience luxurious tropical bliss, from the Glades to the Keys, and nearly every place in between. This is the Southeast Region.

Geography

Representing the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts, Southeast Florida is largely coastal and wetlands. Parts of the fabled “Treasure Coast” and the majority of the Everglades are found in this region, as well as major resort destinations, like West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, and Boca Raton.

Culture

The only part of the state that truly has a tropical climate, Southeast Florida experiences relatively high temperatures during the summer months, and noticeably milder temps during the winter. Much of this region will make you feel like you’re relaxing on a tropical island, or lush natural paradise.

Climate

Imbued with heavy Latin American and Caribbean influences, the Southeast Region has a diverse and vibrant culture that revolves around ethnic cuisines, lively music and a rich cultural heritage. Many of the major cities, like Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, have large bilingual populations whose impacts can be felt in many aspects of the region.
